Ambulatory phlebectomy is a method used to remove larger and thicker surface varicose veins that cannot be treated with endovenous laser therapy. These veins often appear as spongy, coiled veins just beneath the skin.
Unlike traditional surgical techniques, the ambulatory phlebectomy procedure uses micro-incisions to gently remove the undesired veins. The incisions are so small that stitches are generally not necessary, and there is virtually no scarring.
